A quote that I've always loved came to my mind this week. The funny thing is, I have no idea why. Maybe it was because I've had some pretty eye opening experiences this week or maybe it's because I've come to understand a little bit more of how little I am compared to my Creator. Anyway, the quote goes like this:

When divinity meets depravity it is a beautiful collision.

This is something that I've always found fascinating about God. That no matter how depraved or lost we are, He will meet us where we are. All we have to do is believe. But there's more to this quote than that. It also holds a promise to the believer. For in times of struggle, in times of darkness, when God meets us, its like nothing else. Words fail to describe the emotions and thoughts I have when God comes to meet me.

This quote not only is an encouragement to me, but also spurs me on to be a light to someone else and maybe help someone collide with God.

Now, some of you maybe be wondering where the quote originated. Well, the quote used to be said regularly after a David Crowder * Band show. This tradition along with other circumstances led the band to write a song entitled "A Beautiful Collision", which I have placed on the top of my playlist.

Just listen to the song and soak in what God wants to tell you and may you encounter a collision of your own.

  1. collision is suchy an amazing word when we are talking abou t alife with Christ. if there is no collision, i have to wonder what you are following as my God seems to shake my world repeatedly.

  2. I think that there is a collision every time people recognize that God is living and real and it takes a lot for them to ignore it. Every time I think of His unconditional love, it takes my breathe away.
