One

One night, one purpose, one God. That's what last night was about. Starting next Wednesday, I'll be leading a community group of 6th grade guys, but yesterday, for one night only, the students of Waters Edge came together for a night of worship. To say it was good would be an understatement, it was awesome! After an opening video featuring 4 of the students that set the tone of the night, Phil and the band came out and gave a spectacular performance of one of my personal favorite songs: "We are One Tonight" by one of my absolute favorite bands, Switchfoot. After some giveaways by Stu and a powerful worship set, Rob came up and gave his sermon and left the students with a challenge to ask God to bless them. Many students answered the call that night.

I really felt God's presence that night and thought that if this is the beginning, I've got to see where God's going to take me next!
