Rejoice in Monotony
Have you ever done something out of the ordinary, eventful, spectacular even, and got back to your routine and thought, "Oh no, not again!" I know I have. There are days when I wish I could just do something different. My routine can sometimes weigh me down, especially when I work every day on something I don't really enjoy. But, I remember a time when I heard a sermon and then later came to realize that God is actively involved in your day to day life more than probably anything else. God wants to invade your routine and when you put Him at the forefront, suddenly there's purpose and meaning, instead of seemingly pointless tasks. I suppose that's why it is written, "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you." When you put God at the forefront of your life, it's like His presence becomes more real, at least in my life, and the things that once bogged you down now are something to rejoice about. This is something I'm working on myself. I have to constantly remind myself that God is at work, even when I don't feel it. I hope you'll do the same.
