There's something about being around family that shows our true colors. This is the topic of a new movie showing at Norfolk's The Naro, Rachel Getting Married. It is the story of Kym (Anne Hathaway), a recovering drug addict who returns home from rehab for her sister Rachel's wedding. Upon her return, Kym is confronted with her past as the recalling of family memories brings up one that has never left Kym's mind.
Much can be said of Hathaway's performance. Her role is flawless as she shows Kym simultaneously struggling with her past while trying to live in the present.
Needless to say, I enjoyed this film and would highly recommend it.
