One person I'm thankful for
Well,
I don't normally do this, but here goes. I was thinking today about 1 person I could be thankful for this year. It's hard to narrow it down since I have so many people in my life who are a positive influence to me. I thought about my best friend and I thought about other people, but they really don't distinctly fit this year. So it came down to this person.
And the person I'd like to thank this year is ... Scott. If you're reading this, you know who you are.
Scott is a really great person. I've only known him for about a year and a half, maybe 2 years and he's become one of my good friends. Even after he got married to his lovely wife Jessie he still takes time to hang out with me, which means a lot. Recently, we watched the Redskins lose to the Cowboys together. Yes, it was a disappointing game, but we had fun watching it together. He also had people over at his place later, we cried over spilled beer in the parking lot, played games and had fun together. But it really was cool that I was on the small list of people he invited.
We've also had several philosophical, political, and spiritual conversations together. It's really cool to see how he's grown spiritually and emotionally over the short amount of time I've known him.
So Scott, from one friend to another, thanks for being you.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I'm shocked. *blushing* Thanks man. You're pretty awesome as well.
ReplyDeleteWe'll get them Cowboys next time. But between now and then I'm sure we'll have some more good times. But really, I'm honored. *huge dude hugs*
David thank you for being you! I appreciate you being a part of Waters Edge. Your passion and enthusiasm help make Sunday mornings AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteDavid, you are coming close to becoming a liar. Your blog states and I quote "This is basically just a place where you can get to know me, David Ferrell, and what's going on in my life." You haven't posted since December 1. How can the blogging world get to know you or what's going on in your life if you don't tell us. :)
