Sanctity

Today I got to hold a newborn baby in my arms.

A couple that I know recently had a little girl and I had the privilege of looking at a miracle that came to fruition.

Staring at her, eyes closed, squirming, with such small fingers and toes, I began to ponder about the beauty of God's craftsmanship in a human being.

Just think about it. Before the foundation of the world, God knew me!

"You knit me together in my mother's womb."

God made us in His image. What that fully means, I don't think I'll understand anytime soon, but I do know that it means God set us apart from every other living thing. He breathed life into us. He created us like a potter molds clay to create a pot.

The sheer complexity of the human genome, the hair on our heads, the formation of eyelids, the fingerprints that uniquely identify each of us, the heart that beats inside of us, and probably most unique about us, our souls, God specially crafted and designed. Wow!

You are fearfully and wonderfully made. Thank you God!
