Before you were formed...

In Jeremiah Chapter 1, God calls Jeremiah as a prophet and says

"Before you were formed in your mother's womb, I knew you."

But this doesn't just apply to Jeremiah. What's interesting here is that God goes on to say that before Jeremiah was born He had him set aside to be a prophet.

God has a plan for your life, isn't it time we start trying to follow our own selfish desires and seek after His heart?

This amazes me, that a God so powerful and Holy would choose a path for us long before we were created and the path wouldn't be one of wrath and judgment, but would be a path to grow His kingdom and bring an abundant joyful life to you with meaning and purpose all for His glory.

I'm reminded of a verse in the book of Psalms that states,

"You knit me together in my mother's womb"

Elsewhere the Bible says that before the foundation of the world He knew us. Not only does God know us, but what is even more interesting is that Jesus, His Son, created us.

"He is the firstborn of all creation and by Him all things that have been made were made."

Such love, such care, such trust. It makes you think.
