The end of one era, the beginning of another

A significant event is happening in my life this weekend. I will be leaving a place that is very close and dear to my heart: Old Dominion University. If you are reading this please, please, please, keep in touch. I don't know right now where I'm going to be going, but I do know this. I will be interviewing for 2 jobs in the near future. One, I will be interviewing for on Thursday, one later on. The first is with a company in downtown Norfolk, the second with the company I currently work for as a co-op. Please pray that God would put me in the position that He wants me to be in. Above all else, it is His will that I want present in my life. Although leaving ODU and all of my friends will be a sad experience. It will also be a time to reflect on what's gone by and triumph over what God has done in my life. He has brought me through many painful experiences and struggles over the past 5 years.
Having said that, I would like to give a shout out to all the people I know and love at the BCM. First I would like to thank Rob for being such a great minister and mentor in my life. I would specifically like to also name the guys that were instrumental in my spiritual development. This would be Josh Parsons, Brian Johnson, and Shawn Melton. I think we all know how they have impacted so many lives at the BCM. Also, the rest of you have been there when I needed you. And yes, I'm going to name you all if I can. Let's see there's Brian E, Bryan R, Brian F, Kelly, Bri, Tara, Heather, Megan, Melissa, Ashley, Mindy, Mandy, Tyler, Tyler 2.0, Kathryn, Larry, Brandy, Tori, Keri, Amy, Daren, Katie, Josh B, Chara, Caroline, Andrew, Jessica, Alex, Julianne, Joel, Melissa N, Lindsey, Chelsea, Lindsay, Mike D, Robert, Nick, Rosie, Abby, Zeb, Linke, Wes, Charlie, Rebecca, Yvette, Kristi, Rex, Jessica, Chris, Corey, Bones, Zorro, Sean, and Ben. I love you all very much and will miss you. I will visit often when you're not expecting it. Please y'all, keep in touch!

I would also like to thank my best friend Josh, who has been there for me through it all. In fact, he's one of the few people who actually reads this blog regularly. Josh, if you're reading this, from the bottom of my heart thank you. Also, congratulations on your own graduation.

I'll see you guys later. You won't know when or where. Be ready.

  2. David, you have traveled far. One journey has ended. A new journey is about to begin.

No idea where God's taking you or me. Wherever it is, I pray that it's something radical and different. Something that impacts the world. I'll be there for you and praying for you, bro.

Thanks so much for your kind words and for being one of the few people I can truly have fun and be my boring self around. May the journey God takes you on continue to amaze you.
